Had to drop a friend off in the early morning hours at the Long Beach Airport. It was so early that Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles wasn’t even open yet, so I decided to kill some time by heading to Redondo Beach. When I moved to California, I thought I would finally be able to be at the beach often. Unfortunately, that hasn’t the case. Therefore, the infrequent visits make the rarity of the salty ocean air that much more satisfying. I also thought that it would be a great idea to drive on the Pacific Coast Highway from Long Beach to Redondo Beach, but it is really one of most unsatisfying parts I’ve seen of the PCH yet. Either way, it was a beautiful morning spent with the boy at the beach.
Especially when followed by chicken & waffles for breakfast! If you’ve been to or live in Southern California, you know Roscoe’s! Chicken AND waffles, ’nuff said. If you live in California, you’ve been here or you’re missing out and if you are going to visit California, you need to eat here! There are a few locations throughout LA County and one in the works in Anaheim. The boyfriend is born & raised in California, yet NEVER had Roscoe’s so you know I had to take care of that. He was pleased. What more can I say? Eat at Roscoe’s.
