I made it out to the Los Angeles, Renegade Craft Fair with these goons of mine. We each are into our own art, so it was definitely something worth checking out! Even if you aren’t the artsy-type, it is still a good time. There were tons of talented, independent artists that create amazing art in different mediums. If I had all the money in the world, I would have walked away with something from just about every booth! You get to own something unique, that isn’t mass-produced like lots of other things we may own. This fair goes on in Brooklyn, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, and London, so if possible, support the independent artists of the world! Eventually, I want to start making plushes again so it was great to see what was out there!
Here are some notable ones I came across:
We headed to Little Tokyo afterwards. It is a nice to explore there and feel like you somehow stumbled into Japan. We ate at Orochon Ramen. It was good, but not as good as places like Shinsengumi, Ramen Yamadaya, & What’s Up Men in Orange County. There is also a hole in a wall bakery with taiyaki for only $1.50 and worth every cent! I can never remember the name, but it’s a nice adventure trying to find it.
